Padded chicken breast with powdered wasabi, then pan seared for the oven to finish. Passion Fruit Relish is a sausa with a fruit base, with ginger and of course wasabi. Rice is rice.
2 Chichen Breast (thick, cross cut to make them thin) this is for dinner for 2
Sausa (store bought is fine, unless you are like me, scatch) add more fruit and surup, or honey, mango, ginger, wasabi, salt and pepper to taste.
Start with the chicken. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pat on a lot of wasabi powder... Don't worry the pan searing will burn off and sear some of the wasabi into it. It not be spicy hot. After pan searing on both sides for about 1.5 minutes each, place them into a clear or oven proof pan, bake until milky liquid leaks out, there are now done.
While the chicken is in the oven, begin with the sausa. In a stove top pan, bring to a simmer the sausa with any added items you wish to change the flavor of the Passion Fruit Relish. Once you are satisfied with the flavor, reduce heat or set it a side.
Next. Rice. Microwave it, boil it, doesn't matter. Just make it.
Now. The important thing is to pay attention to the next part of plating. This is where every chef misses it.
Place in the center of the plate a tablespoon of the sausa. Then approximately 4 ounces of rice, then the 2 sliced chicken breast on top sides of the rice, pour the sausa on top of the chicken breasts and let it roll of to the sides. Don' Appetite.
