Rice and Meatballs

A savory wine and mushroom sauce with meatballs served over rice




1-2lbs of ground round ¼ cup milk 1 small sweet onion 2 slices of bread 2 med. eggs 2 tbls. of cider vinegar 1 tbls. of soy sauce 1 can cr. mushroom soup ¼ cup brown sugar 1 can of whole tomatoes 1 can of tomato sauce ¼ cup red table wine salt and pepper to taste

Put the ground round in a large bowl, add chopped onion, egg, and the bread.(cut in small pieces) mix well and make meatballs. Fry with a small amount of oil until done. Drain and place aside. In clean skillet,put in cr. mushroom soup, cider vinegar, soy sauce, tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar, red wine and salt and pepper. stir until well blended. Add meatballs, simmer for 30 minutes over low heat and serve over rice. Delish!!! Old family recipe with a twist.
