Home Style Beef Stew

This is one of my families favorite meals that I cook. I am very thankful because I can fix it in the morning and forget it!


Serves 6


1-2b. cubed beef chuck 2 T all-purpose flour 1 lg. yellow onion chopped 2 teaspoon. tomato paste 1 T Worcestershire Sauce ½ teaspoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 2 cups of beef broth 4 cups of sliced carrots 6 medium red bliss potatoes chopped 1 T cornstarch 1 T cold water

In a large non stick pan, add beef and saute until browned. Add beef broth and bring to a boil. Add beef and all remaining pan drippings to your Crock Pot/Slow cooker. All all prepared ingredients except the cornstarch and water. Place the slow cooker on low and cook for 6 hrs. stirring occasionally. Before serving In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cols water; stir into stew slowly until it is the desired consistency. Now it is ready to serve!
