Instructions

Greek lemon dill chicken Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 30 minutes Servings: 6 Ingredients: 6 chicken parts (drumsticks or combination of drumsticks, breasts and thighs) 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 large onion 1 large lemon 1 bunch of dill ½ cup water Directions: 1. Take zest off one lemon, strain the juice of the lemon and mix it with the zest. Chop dill into small pieces and add it to the lemon, add water and mix. Peel and cut onion into fine strips. 2. Heat a table spoon of vegetable oil in a large rimmed skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides. Brown chicken in a skillet on all sides, turning it, for about 5 minutes. Add onions and garlic powder and cook stirring for another 5 minutes. 3. Pour the lemon-dill mixture over the chicken. Close the lid and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, turning the chicken over once through the cooking process, until most of water evaporates and chicken is tender. Serve over rice.
