Chicken and broccoli stir fry

Easy to make dinner in the comfort of your home. Very similar to Chinese takeout dish.




4 skinless boneless chicken breasts 1 onion 2 cups frozen broccoli 3-4 table spoons soy sauce 1 table spoon hoisin sauce ¼ cup water 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon onion powder ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes 2 table spoons peanut oil ¼ cup all-purpose flour for dusting

1. Cut chicken into small strips and season with salt. Chop onion into small cubes. Heat 2 table spoons peanut oil in a large wide skillet. Dredge chicken pieces in flour and cook for about 10 minutes over medium high heat, stirring occasionally until no longer pink. Add in chopped onions, stir and cook for 5 minutes. 2. Mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic and onion powder, red pepper, and water. Pour into chicken, stir, and cook for another 5 minutes until all liquid is absorbed. 3. Defrost broccoli in a microwave and add it to the chicken, stir to coat and heat through until warm.
