Home Style Beef Stew

My Crock Pot Favorite
This is one of my families favorite meals that I cook. I am very thankful because I can fix it in the morning and forget it!"


1-2b. cubed beef chuck
2 T all-purpose flour
1 lg. yellow onion chopped
2 tsp. tomato paste
1 T Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 cups of beef broth
4 cups of sliced carrots
6 medium red bliss potatoes chopped
1 T cornstarch
1 T cold water


In a large non stick pan, add beef and saute until browned. Add beef broth and bring to a boil. Add beef and all remaining pan drippings to your Crock Pot/Slow cooker. All all prepared ingredients except the cornstarch and water. Place the slow cooker on low and cook for 6 hrs. stirring occasionally. Before serving In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cols water; stir into stew slowly until it is the desired consistency. Now it is ready to serve!
