It you don't have a 6mm slicing disc, use a 4mm slicing disc and reduce the baking time slightly as the thinner sliced fruit will cook more quickly.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons sugar * 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 pounds fruit ** 1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces 1/2 cups quick cooking oats 1/4 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup flour 1/4 teaspoon salt * Use more sugar if the fruit is very tart. Use less if the fruit is very ripe and sweet. * * We suggest using apples, pears, plums, peaches, nectarines, or a combination of these fruits.
