Southern Style banana/pinnapple pudding

This recipe has been passed down in my family for over 70 years. After trying this, it is sure to be one of your favorite desserts.




1 pkg of vanilla waffers
4 cups of whole milk
3 eggs
2 cup of sugar
⅓ cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
4 bananas
1 14 oz can of crushed pinnapple
2 teaspoon baking powder you can substitute with 4 teaspoon of self rising floor

Add milk to pot, seperate egg white and yokes, add the yokes to milk, and put whites in mixer bowl. Add baking soda, vaniila and sugar to milk, then cook over medium heat, stirring until thick. In the meantime, take baking dish and line bottom with vanilla waffers and cut bananas into slices. Layer on top of vanilla waffers and then add layer of crushed pinnapple. Add milk mixture on top of layer then do the same to second layer. Mix egg whites. They are ready if you turn the bowl up and they stay in place. Then add the ⅓ cup of sugar to the egg whites, and pour egg white mixture over pudding. Turn oven to broil, brown top and you are ready to enjoy this delicious dessert.
