This is a moist, chewy cookie for Christmas and is very colorful also. It stores well and also freezes well.
Yields
3-4 dozen, depending on the size of your cookie
Ingredients
½ c. butter (unsalted)
½ c. sugar
¼ c. Brown sugar
¾ c. chopped nuts
1 c. cherries (chopped)
1 large box dates (chopped)
1 c. flour
⅔ c. flour
½ teaspoon. baking soda
¼ teaspoon. salt
¼ teaspoon. nutmeg
½ teaspoon. cinnamon

Instructions
Cream first 3 ingredients together well... mix 2nd ingredients together with the 1 x. flour and set aside... add 3rd set of ingredients to cream mixture, mix well... stir in the nuts, cherries and dates to previous mixture. Preheat oven to 350. Drop by teaspoons full on sprayed cookie sheet. Bake 10 min. Remove to a rack for cooling... Stores well in container in the refrigerator or you can freeze them... yummy!!!!
