Pink Grapefruit Sorbet

Tart but sweet, fresh grapefruit juice adds pizazz to this delicate sorbet.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1½ cups fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 tablespoon finely grated grapefruit zest*
Preparation
- Combine sugar and water in a Cuisinart® Everyday Stainless 2-quart saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer until sugar dissolves, about 3 - 4 minutes. Stir occasionally. Cool completely**.
- When cool, add grapefruit juice and zest; stir to combine. Pour into the freezer bowl of a Cuisinart® Automatic Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker. Turn the machine On and freeze until slushy, about 25 - 30 minutes. Transfer to an air tight container and place in freezer until firm, about 2 hours.
