6 good size Macintosh apples 1 box of Jiffy Pie Crust Mix ½ scant cup of packed dark brown sugar top off scant cup with white sugar 2 tablespoons white flour ¾ teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon nutmeg 2 tablespoons margarine

Set oven to 425 degrees. Mix pie crust mix as directed. Divide in half and roll out ½ crust. Spray pie plate with oil and put pie crust in it and prick the bottom and sides with a fork. Mix the sugars, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon in a small bowl and add just enough water to make a very thick syrup. Cut peel off apples, quarter them and cut center out. Slice them and put in pie crust. Deposit syrup over the top of apples. Top with margarine cut into chunks and sprinkle over the top of apples. Roll out remaining crust, cover apples and flute the edges. Place in the oven for 15 minutes. Lower the oven to 375 degrees and cook for 25 to 30 minutes more. Cool pie, slice and enjoy!
