2 sticks butter (no margarine)
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
1 Tbsp warm water
Pinch of salt
1 cup diced almonds (crush ¼ cup of the almonds to sprinkle on top of candy)
1 cup chocolate chips

Put first five ingredients in heavy pot on high.
Stir with wooden spoon & bring to rolling boil.
Stir 5 to 7 minutes until a little darker than light brown sugar.
Remove from heat & stir in nuts.
Pour in greased jelly roll pan & spread.
Place chocolate chips on top and spread around.
Sprinkle on chopped nuts.
Let cool 1 hour.
Chill & break with point of sharp knife.
