Macaroon Candy Bar Cookies

Serve With: Coffee – these cookies are rich and sweet. Make Ahead: freeze in air tight container, defrost when ready to eat Tip: Use Milk Chocolate and it will taste like the other coconut candy bar.

14 oz Coconut, shredded and sweetened ¼ c sugar 2 T flour ¼ t Salt 2 egg whites 2 T Butter, melted 1 t. almond extract ⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk ⅓ cup sliced almonds 2 Special Dark Chocolate Candy Bars

Mix all ingredients together and using a 1” ice cream scoop, make rounded cookies on your baking sheet. Flatten the top of each cookie and add 1 square of chocolate to each cookie. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. The outside will be crispy and the inside will be chewy and the dark chocolate will make the cookie taste like the candy bar in the store
