Lemon bars




2 cups flour ½ cup powdered sugar 1 cup butter 4 beaten eggs 1½ cups granulated sugar 2 teaspoon lemon peel ½ cup lemon juice ¼ cup flour ½ teaspoon baking powder powdered sugar

Pre heat oven to 350*F. In a medium bowl stir together the 2 cups flour and ½ cup powdered sugar. Cut in butter until mixture clings together. Press dough into the bottom of a 19x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until light brown. In a mixing bowl beat eggs granulated sugar and lemon juice. In another bowl combine the ¼ cup flour and baking powder; stir dry mixture into egg mixture along with lemon peel pour over baked crust. Bake in 350 oven for 25 minutes more cool in pan. Sift powdered sugar over the top. Cut into bars
