Basic old fashioned vanilla from adapted from grandparents recipes.
1 pinch of salt
⅓ cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks (wash outside of eggs well before cracking)
blend and add milk to top of 1 quart container
Any of the following are added to this recipe:
Key Lime Pie Ice Cream-
8 oz. of freshly squeezed Key Limes. (Persian limes can be substituted but they are not as mild)
After ice cream is completed, add home made graham cracker crumbs as sprinkles on top.
To make a real crust add 1¼ cup of crumbs, ½ cup of melted butter (more is always better), pinch of salt, ½ cup of sugar. Press out on cookie sheet and bake 5-6 minutes in 350 degree pre-heated oven.
Banana Pudding Ice Cream
3 ripe bananas (riper the better) puree into ice cream mix. Top with vanilla wafers as sprinkles. Peanut Butter Ice Cream-Add 3 oz of melted creamy peanut butter (@ 40 seconds in microwave), blend with ice cream recipe and top with crumbled dry roasted peanuts as sprinkles.
Coconut Almond Ice Cream-
Add 4-6 oz of Cream of Coconut to ice cream recipe, use toasted shredded coconut and slivered almonds as sprinkles.
Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream-
Add 6 oz pkg. of sweetened frozen strawberries to ice cream recipe. Puree in mixture. Slice fresh strawberries adn sweeten to taste. Place these in separate container and shake to bruise, let sit for several hours. Use these and crumbled up shortbread cookies as sprinkles to finished ice cream.

Run Cuisinart ice cream maker for about 20-24 minutes. Remove ice cream and place in freezer for at least 15 minutes or longer. Ice cream melts much faster as it has no gum and other preservatives such as commercial varieties.
