Holiday Pumpkin Pie

Our family usually enjoy this pie at Thanksgiving or Christmas. But it's so delicious, that's it's really great any time of the year.


Makes 6 servings


For 1 9 inches pie shell:

1      cup evaporated milk
½     cup dark brown sugar
⅓     cup kahlua
1½   cup canned pumpkin
¼     cup light corn Syrup
1½   teaspoon  pumpkin pie spice
½     teaspoon salt
2      eggs, beaten


3      tablespoon butter, softened
⅓     cup dark brown sugar
½     cup flour
½     cup pecans, chopped

1.Bake pie shell at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
2.Place all other ingredients (except for topping ingredients) into a mixer and mix thoughly. Pour into pie shell and bake at 375 degrees for 60 minutes or until knife blade comes out clean.
3.Mix the ingredients for the topping by hand.
4. Once the pie is done, add the topping and bake for an additional 15 min. 
Remove from oven, let cool.The pie can be served at room temperature or chilled.
