All the Santas will love finding these beside a glass of milk. A delicious sugar cookie that can be dressed up by dipping edge into melted chocolate, sprinkling colorful sugars or just simply enjoying with the sparkle of white sugar.

Ingredients
2 sticks margarine
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 cup canola oil
5 cups all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons vanilla
additional sugar for rolling and sprinkling

Instructions
Cream in large mixing bowl margarine with 2 cups sugar. Add eggs and oil. Set aside. Sift together flour, salt, soda, cream of tartar. Add gradually sifted ingredients to cream mixture. Lastly add vanilla. Chill dough 2 hours or overnight. Form dough into approximately 1½ inch balls a few at a time and roll in extra sugar. Place on cookie sheet 3 inches apart. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cookies do not brown. Let cool on sheet 2-5 minutes. Sprinkle each cookie with additional sugar and move to cooling rack.
