Frosted Pumpkin Bars

Ingredients

2 cups or 1 can pumpkin
2 teaspoon. baking powder
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon. baking soda
4 eggs
½ teaspoon. salt
1 cup oil
2 teaspoon. cinnamon
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts(optional)
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1¾ cup powdered sugar, approx.
¾ stick butter
1 teaspoon. vanilla
1 Tbsp. milk

Instructions

Beat eggs. Add sugar and beat again. Add pumpkin and oil and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in nuts, if desired. Pour into a greased and floured jelly-roll pan (can use a 9x12 but it will take longer to bake). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and then frost with frosting or canned cream cheese frosting. May add decorative sprinkles on top.

Frosting: Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk, and spread on cooled bars.
