This vanilla based ice cream gets a swirl of yumminess from the addition of dark chocolate peanut butter.
Makes 4-6 servings approx. 1/2 - 3/4 cup size.
½ pint half & half (or may substitute heavy cream)
1 tin sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons real vanilla extra (not imitation)
½ - ¾ cup Dark Chocolate Dreams Peanut Butter (by PB&J Company - any other dark chocolate peanut butter would work)
It's ice cream - so it doesn't matter.
Make sure your ice cream bowl is chilled if using Cuisinart machine. Mix together half & half, condensed milk & vanilla. Place these ingredients in ice cream maker and churn. Towards the end of churning, put the dark chocolate peanut butter in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for about 20-30 seconds or until just melted. Stir & cool the peanut butter. When ice cream is done churning, carefully stir the peanut butter into the ice cream. Swirl it around to incorporate it throughout. Chill ice cream for a couple hours in freezer before serving.
