Prep time approximately 25 minutes
2 C shortbread or vanilla wafer crumbs
⅓ C melted butter
40 oz cream cheese, softened
1 C sugar
5 eggs (@ room temp.)
1 T orange extract, or orange liqueur
1 T flour
2 C sour cream
¼ C sugar
1 t vanilla or orange extract (or orange liqeuer,)
1-2 t orange zest

Mix crumbs with melted butter; press into 9" springform pan; chill.
Mix softened cream cheese with sugar til creamy. Add eggs, one at a time; beat and scrape til smooth. Add orange flavored liqeuer, then flour. Pour into chilled crust, place on cookie sheet and bake @ 350' 50-60 minutes til slightly firm (mostly done with slight jiggle in middle.)
Meanwhile, make topping:combine 2 C sour cream, ¼ C sugar,1 t vanilla or orange extract and 1-2 t orange zest.
Remove cake from oven; reset oven to 450'. Let cake stand 15 mins; spread topping over cheesecake and bake 10 minutes @ 450'. Turn oven ooff, letting cake stay in oven with door ajar 30-60 minutes.
Chill for at least 8 hours before serving and enjoying!!
