Strawberry Thumbprint Cookies




For cookies: 1 cup butter ⅔ cup sugar 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 jar strawberry jam (you can use any flavor) For glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar 1 tablespoon milk ½ teaspoon vanilla

Cream together butter and sugar. Add in flour and vanilla. Form dough into balls (Dough will be very crumbly and barely come together). Place balls on greased cookie sheet and gently press your thumb into each one to make an indentation. Put as much jam as you can into each indentation. Bake at 350 for 14-18 minutes. Mix together icing ingredients. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
