½ C butter ¼ C shortening ¼ C natural peanut butter 1½ C packed brown sugar 2 teaspoon. vanilla extract 2 large eggs 2 C old-fashioned oats 1 C all-purpose flour ½ C whole wheat flour 1 teaspoon. baking powder ½ teaspoon. ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon. ground nutmeg ½ teaspoon. salt 1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips ½ C blend of dried fruit (such as golden raisins, cherries, cranberries and blueberries)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large bowl use an electric mixer to beat butter, shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Add Oats, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and stir with wooden spoon until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and dried fruit mix. Drop batter by heaping spoonfuls 1½ inches apart on baking sheet greased with cooking spray. Bake 10-13 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Remove from oven and let stand on baking sheet to complete baking for 2 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
