This tastes like a frozen chocolate malt! Smooth, creamy, malty and delicious. Vary the amounts of cocoa and malt powder to your tastes.
1 1/2 quarts
2 eggs (or pasturized egg product)
¾ cups of sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup half & half
1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup cocoa powder
⅓ cup malt powder

Whisk eggs until frothy, then add sugar a little bit at a time until smooth and thickened. Add milk, half & half and whipping cream, followed by cocoa powder and malt powder. Pour into ice cream canister and proceed to freeze. I use my cuisinart supreme ice cream maker and it turns out perfectly!
