Traditional Chess Pie




1 cup of granulated sugar ½ cup of brown sugar 1 stick of melted butter 3 eggs 1 tablespoon of white cornmeal (not cornmeal mix) 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 9” unbaked pie crust .

Combine sugars and cornmeal. Add melted butter and stir until fully combined. Add eggs and stir until mixture is smooth (do not use an electric mixer). Finally, add the vinegar – stir in completely before adding the vanilla. Pour into piecrust and bake for one hour at 350 degrees. Let pie set for an hour before serving
