A tangy-sweet salad with a delicious creamy topping
⅔ cup cinnamon red hots
1 3 ounce package lemon jello
1½ cups smooth applesauce
1 8 ounce package cream cheese
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup celery, chopped
½ cup mayonnaise

Pour 1 cup hot water over red hots and stir until dissolved.
Add 1 package lemon jello and stir until dissolved.
Pour half of this mixture into an 8x8x2 inch pan and chill until firm.
Blend together cream cheese, pecans and celery.
Mix in the mayonnaise and spread mixture over firm applesauce mixture.
Top with remaining jello and refrigerate until firm.
