1 sheet puff pastry
6 apples, peeled,cored and cut into quarters lengthwise
4 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp butter


Carmelize sugar in a cast iron skillet until dark brown. Turn off heat and add butter. Arrange apples tightly together in concentric circles. Cover with aluminum foil and cook in 425 degree oven 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven, discard foil, lay trimmed pastry over apples. Return to oven and bake a further 20 minutes. Remove from oven, cool for 15 minutes. Invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm
