Fudge Cake

Fudge Cake Icing Recipe to follow . . .
A rich, scratch baked, chocolate cake that was reserved for birthdays and other special days."


1/2 C Butter
1 C H2O
2 squares Unsweetened Chocolate
2 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
2 C Sugar
1/2 C Sour Whole Milk
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla


Preheat Oven to 350F.
Cream Butter, Sugar, and eggs.
Melt Chocolate in 1 C H2O, add 1 tsp Vanilla & Sour Milk, and add to Creamed mixture, Beat Well.
Combine Flour, Baking Soda, and Baking Powder.
Blend Flour mix into the Creamed mixture.
Beat at high speed for 2 mins.
Pour into a Greased, Floured 9 X 13 pan.
Bake for 30-35 mins at 350F.
