Pecan Tassies

Like mini pecan pies."


2 sticks oleo
2 c flour
2 eggs
2 Tbsp Melted oleo
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 (3oz) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. coarsely cut pecans
1 1/2 c brown sugar
Dash of salt


Let oleo soften, add cream cheese and work with spoon until smooth. Add flour in fourths, blending each time. Work into a smooth dough, Make into small balls. Put each ball in small muffin tin and with thumb, press dough against bottom and sides to line the cup evenly.

Filling: Sprinkle 1/2 of the pecans in bottom of unbaked cups. Beat eggs slightly. Add brown sugar and beat. Add oleo, salt and vanilla. Spoon filling over nuts in cups. Top with the rest of the pecans. Bake at 350 for 15-17 min. Reduce heat to 250 and continue baking for 10 min. Cool before removing from pan. (For ease in removing, use toothpicks to get around the edge of the Tassies.
