Banana pound cake


1 1/4 cups Butter flavor Crisco
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract
2 medium bananas, well mashed

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour bundt pan and set aside.
Blend Crisco and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk, vanilla and lemon extract to shortening-sugar mixture. Beat until mixture is smooth.
Add mashed bananas and mix till well combined.
Pour batter into prepared bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until cake test done.
Cool 1 hour; remove cake from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
