Oatbran and pears

Warm oatban cereal with fresh pears and walnuts.




2 C. of water ½ cup Oatbran ¼ teaspoon. salt 2 fresh ripened pears - (reserve a few slices for garnishing) walnuts - (reserve a teaspoon for topping) ½ teaspoon. cinnamon sugar 1 TBSP of butter

Place water, salt, chopped walnuts and oatbran in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Peel the pears, and dice the pears so they are about 1" to ½" chunks. Add the pears to the boiling mixture and continue to cook until desired thickness a few minutes until thickened. To serve pour the oatbran into a bowl, top with a slice of butter, a few remaining slices of uncooked pears and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and walnuts. Milk and sugar or sweetener can be added if desired.
