Cheese Pudding

We serve this recipe at all holiday morning gatherings of my family. It is great for brunch or breakfast.




6 slices buttered white bread, cubed 2 C shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese 3 eggs 1 ½ C Milk Salt and pepper to taste Dash paprika

Layer buttered bread with cheese in a 3” deep round baking dish so that you have 2 layers of each starting with bread and ending with cheese. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, milk and spices. Pour over the bread and cheese and squish it all down with your hands. Cover and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, uncover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. This recipe is easily increased using 1 egg and ½ C milk for every 2 slices of bread.
