4 slices (1/2-3/4-inch thick) rustic bread 1 medium to large ripe avocado, pitted 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (to taste) Pinch freshly ground black pepper 1/4 cup grape tomatoes, quartered (optional) 2 teaspoons raw pepitas (hulled pumpkin seeds) 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes or paprika

1. Toast the sliced bread in the Cuisinart Toaster Oven, preferably to a medium-light doneness. 2. While bread is toasting, prepare the avocado topping. Combine the avocado, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mash with a fork to desired consistency. 3. Once bread is toasted, divide the mashed avocado on top of each slice. Top with the tomatoes, if using, pepitas and chili flakes or paprika.
