Banana-Carob SmoothieUser Submitted Recipe
1 ripe banana
2 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons carob powder*
3 tablespoons egg white, whey or other protein powder*
1 teaspoon sugar, honey or equivalent sweeetener such as Truvia
Put all ingredients in blender. Blend. Serve over ice, if desired.
Great for breakfast, lunch or snack. May be good for baby too.
*Carob and protein powder are available in health or vitamin stores.
Contains a meal's worth of protein, also potasssium, B vitamins, calcium, and many other nutrients.
