2. While the waffle maker is preheating, prepare the batter. Put all ingredients into a medium mixing bowl. Whisk well to combine.
3. Once the waffle maker is preheated, add half of the batter to the center of the bottom waffle plate and spread, leaving about 1-inch from the edge of the plate.
4. Close the waffle maker and cook until the ready tone beeps.
5. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with remaining batter.
Note: For a savory waffle, use only the egg and cheese. For a sweeter waffle, add the optional ingredients to the egg and cheese.
