Unsalted butter, softened, or nonstick cooking spray,
for coating pan
Dough:
1¼ cups nonfat milk
¼ cup granulated sugar
2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 standard packet)
4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter, softened and cut into 2 pieces
½ teaspoon kosher salt
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups bread flour
2 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour
Filling:
¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened and cut into 4 pieces
Glaze:
1 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
2 tablespoons milk (any variety will work)
¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
