Tea Biscuits

Serve with just butter or make it a snack with jam & a slice of cheddar cheese, or spread peanut butter. Great with a meal instead of rolls and great with homemade soups.




2 cups flour 4 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt ½ cup shortening 1 cup milk

Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening and add milk to make dough. Knead dough on floured surface a few times; press in round circle cutter into biscuits. Place in ungreased baking dish. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes, until light golden brown.
