Classic Garlic Bread
Makes 8 slices
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 large garlic cloves, peeled and smashed
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley leaves, chopped
- ½ loaf Italian bread (8 inches long), halved horizontally
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 teaspoons Parmesan cheese, grated
Preparation
- Put the butter, oil, garlic, and parsley in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat until the butter has melted, stirring occasionally.
- Brush the garlic butter on top of each piece of bread. Season with salt and pepper, and then sprinkle the Parmesan evenly over each piece of bread.
- Select Bake, and set the time to 6 minutes and the temperature to 350°F. Press Start/Stop.
- When the air fryer is preheated, carefully place the bread in the basket, and then slide the basket back into the air fryer. Set the time for 4 minutes, and then press Start/Stop. Bake until the bread is nicely golden, adding 1 to 2 minutes of baking time if necessary.
- Carefully transfer from the basket to a cutting board, and allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
