Ingredients
1½ cup sifted flour
1 1¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ cup sugar
⅓ cup shortening
1 egg
¼ cup milk
½ cup grated raw apple
½ cup melted butter
⅓ cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon

Instructions
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and ½ cup sugar.
Cut in shortening until mixture is fine. Mix together egg, milk, apple.
Add all at once to dry ingredients and mix quickly, but thoroughly.
Fill greased 2½ inch muffin pans ⅔ full.
Bake 350 for 20 to 25 min. Or golden brown.
Combine cinnamon and sugar.
Remove from pans immediately and roll doughnuts in
melted butter, then in cinnamon and sugar.
Serve warm.
