Banana Nut Bread
This was a family favorite. My mom would have some ready for my sister and me to eat when we got home from school.

INGREDIENTS
4 ripe bananas, smashed
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. banking soda
1/2 cup sour milk*
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup nuts, chopped
Instructions
*Make sour milk.

Add beaten eggs to mashed bananas. Stir baking soda into sour milk and add to bananas. Mix well. Add melted butter or margarine, then sugar. Sift baking powder, salt and flour, keeping out 2 Tbsp. of flour to stir into the nuts. Add dry ingredients, then add nuts. Pour in loaf pan and bake 1 hour at 425°.

*For sour milk: stir 1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar into 1/2 cup milk. Add baking soda. It should bubble when combined.
