Fruity Cereal Milk Latte

Makes 1 serving

Inspired by Christina Tosi’s famous Cereal Milk and Cereal Milk Ice Cream, here at
Cuisinart we take that idea and turn it into a sweet and fruity latte. Adding a shot of
espresso cuts the sweetness nicely, but for the non-coffee drinkers and kids in thehouse, just having the cereal milk is a nice treat!

Ingredients

  • 1espresso capsule
  • ½ cup Fruity Cereal Milk,
  • recipe follows

Preparation

  1. 1. Put the espresso capsule into the unit.
  2. 2. Put the milk into a heatproof mug. Hold
  3. the mug in one hand and place under
  4. the steam wand so the bottom of the
  5. 29
  6. wand is just below the surface of the
  7. milk at an angle. Select the Steam
  8. function and press the START/STOP
  9. knob to start steaming. While holding
  10. the mug at an angle, allow the steam
  11. to move the milk around. Once the milk
  12. begins to increase in volume, lift the
  13. mug up higher so the steam wand
  14. immerses deeper into the milk (this will
  15. prevent large bubbles from forming and
  16. will make a nice fine milk foam). When
  17. the foam has almost reached the top
  18. of the mug and you can feel that the
  19. milk in the mug is quite hot, press the
  20. START/STOP knob to stop steaming.
  21. Tap the mug a few times to remove any
  22. larger bubbles.
  23. 3. Put a separate mug underneath the
  24. brew head and select Single Espresso.
  25. 4. Once the espresso has finished
  26. brewing, slowly pour the steamed milk
  27. into the mug with the espresso and top
  28. with a bit of foam. Serve immediately.
