Ingredients
1 pound peeled and seeded honeydew melon Coarse salt and a wedge of lime (optional) ½ cup fresh lime juice ⅓ cup Tequila ¼ cup Triple Sec 1 tablespoon sugar 4 lime slices for garnish
Preparation
At least 8 hours before serving, cut melon into 1-inch cubes. Place in a single layer on a foil lined baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and freeze until solid. If desired, just before blending, rub the rims of 4 Margarita glasses with the wedge of lime and dip in coarse salt. Place the lime juice, Tequila, Triple Sec, and sugar in the Cuisinart® Blender. Blend 20 seconds. Add the frozen melon cubes. Blend until smooth, about 30 - 40 seconds. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a slice of lime. Serve immediately. For an alcohol-free "Margarita", substitute orange juice for the liquor and increase the sugar by 2 tablespoons.
