6 ounces fresh lemon juice 8 ounces simple syrup* 6 large basil leaves 12 ounces seltzer

Instructions

Put ingredients into the blender jar in order listed. Blend, starting on speed 1 and gradually raising to speed 4, for 1 minute. Serve over ice. Note: The lemonade can be strained to remove the chopped basil, or can be served as is. *Simple syrup is sugar dissolved in water. To make, place equal parts water and granulated sugar in a saucepan set over medium-low heat. Syrup is done once the sugar has dissolved. Cool completely before using.
