4 cups Walnut halves
1 cups powdered sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Coarse salt [to taste]

Bring a medium pan of water to a boil.
Add the walnuts and let blanch for 45 seconds. Drain and put into a medium bowl. Pour the powdered sugar on top of the walnuts while they are still hot. Mix to coat. Heat about 1" of oil in a skillet. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the coated walnuts into the hot oil, and fry for about 45 SECONDS. Do not let them burn! Take out of oil and put into a medium bowl.
In a small bowl, combine both of the peppers, cinnamon, and salt. Pour on top of the hot nuts and stir really well, to evenly coat. Place in an air tight container and keep at room temperature.
