Pepperoni Bread

A picnic/BBQ appetizer favorite at our house. easy to make...only four ingredients!


12-14 slices


2 lbs pizza dough;(best if from bakery or pizzeria) ¾ lb sliced pepperoni ¾ lb sliced provolone cheese 2 tablespoon. vegetable/canola oil

preheat oven to 400F. cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. drop oil onto foil in center drop pizza dough into oil and stretch out in a rectangle cover dough with slices of pepperoni, leaving about 1 inch clear along the sides. cover pepperoni with slices of provolone. use remaining slices of meat and cheese until all used. roll up the filled dough, tucking in the sides so that no inner ingredients are exposed. Arrange on same aluminum foil seam side down. make a couple of small cuts into top of bread. Bake until golden brown...about 40 minutes. NOTE: after removing from oven, gently lift sides and insert a folded paper towel underneath to absorb oil released from meat. When completely cooled,cut into one inch slices.
