Kraut Stuffed Peppers

Unusual and wonderful combination of peppers and kraut. Some people eat it for a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

2 pkgs banana peppers 2 #10 can sauerkraut 4 cups sugar 3 cups apple cider vinegar 2 cups water 1 1/2 tsp celery seed 1 1/2 tsp turmeric 1 1/2 tsp mustard seed

Instructions

Clean banana peppers and stuff with sauerkraut. Place in jars. Combine the following and heat until sugar is dissolved. 4 cups sugar 3 cups apple cider vinegar 2 cups water 1 1/2 tsp celery seed 1 1/2 tsp turmeric 1 1/2 tsp mustard seed Fill jars with liquid. Put lids on and cold pack 15 minutes, after the water comes to a boil. Store in the refrigerator. Double batch of brine, fills 13 Quarts.
