This popular Mexican specialty is delicious with chips and vegetable crudités, or as a topping for grilled chicken or fish.


Makes about 1 cup


1 small garlic clove, peeled

½ small jalapeño, seeded and quartered

¼ cup grape tomatoes

1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted

1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

½ teaspoon kosher salt

1. Put the garlic and jalapeño into the chopping cup. Process on Speed 5 for 5 seconds to chop. Add the tomatoes and pulse 2 to 3 times to chop. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse on Speed 5 until desired consistency is achieved. 2. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
