Ingredients
- 1 pound calamari rings
- ½ cup cornstarch
- Extra-virgin olive oil, to spray
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon Old Bay® seasoning
- ¼ cup pickled hot pepper rings, drained
- 3 lemon wedges
- Marinara sauce, warm, to serve on the side
Preparation
- Pat the calamari thoroughly dry with paper towels.
- Sprinkle the cornstarch on a baking pan and scatter the calamari over the cornstarch.
- Shake the pan to evenly coat the calamari.
- Place the coated calamari rings in the basket.
- Spray with an even coating of extra-virgin olive oil, and only 1 side of rings are seasoned with salt and Old Bay® using this method.
- Place the basket in the AirFryer. Select AirFry, and set the time to 10 minutes and the temperature to 400°F. Select Toss Reminder and press Start/Stop.
- When alerted, shake the basket and spray with additional oil if calamari appear dry.
- When calamari rings are finished cooking, remove from the basket.
- Top with the pickled hot pepper rings, and serve with lemon wedges and marinara sauce.
