Chorizo and Shrimp saute

This spanish dish is an excellent appetizer in traditional tapas style. Spicy and delicious. Easy to prepare




4 chorizo sausages, thinly sliced on a bias. 1 large spanish onion, thinly sliced 1 minced jalapeno pepper, seeds removed *Habanero pepper can be substituted for extra heat. 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined. Juice from (½) lime 1 teaspoon. cayenne pepper 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley for garnish salt and pepper to taste. ⅓ cup olive oil

Saute onion, garlic, jalapeno pepper in olive oil until onion becomes soft. Add shrimp, cayenne pepper, lime juice salt and pepper cook while stirring until shrimp is cooked approx. 4-5 minutes. Serve hot and garnish with parsley.
