A wonderful New England tasting appetizer. Presentation is attractive and appetizing in appearance.
Some people will put on a plate and eat with a fork. Simple but brings in the raves from guests.
1 lb Canadian Bacon
6 Granny Smith Apples
1 lb block Cheddar Cheese

Preheat oven to 400°
In a 9 x 12 oven dish (or attractive oven dish equal to this size) cut bacon into small pieces and scatter to cover bottom of dish. Slice peeled cored apples and cut into thick slices. Arrange over the bacon. Top this with cheddar cheese cut into ¼" slices. Cover completely the apples. Bake in hot oven for 10 minutes watching carefully. Melt cheese and bake till golden brown.
Serve with crackers or small pieces of bread.
