Barbara Joy's Hummus

The perfect, healthy dip for pita bread, carrot sticks, and crackers.




1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans/chick peas, drained 2 tablespoon sesame seeds (NOT toasted) 3 tablespoon sour cream 1 tablespoon water 1 tablespoon lemon juice (juice of ½ lemon) 1 tablespoon olive or peanut oil 1 tablespoon light soy sauce ½ teaspoon chili powder ¼ teaspoon salt 3 large garlic cloves, minced

In food processor, process sesame seeds and garbanzo beans until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. Process until smooth. Serve as a dip with fresh vegetables and pita bread.
